Enid, OK – Leonardo’s Children’s Museum is excited to announce updated hours for its 2025 Summer Discovery Camp: Global Adventure, which hopes to offer families greater flexibility and even more hands-on fun — all at no additional cost.
This summer, the camp will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with early drop-off available at 7:30 AM and late pick-up until 12:30 PM, free of charge. This change expands the popular morning session into a single, extended format to better serve families and streamline camp operations.
“We know how important flexible and affordable summer activities are for families,” said Charlet Ringwald, Executive Director at Leonardo’s. “By extending our camp hours and eliminating additional fees, we’re working on creating a high-quality experience for both children and caregivers — without increasing the cost.”
Previously, families chose between morning and afternoon sessions. The museum’s decision to consolidate offerings into one extended morning session reflects both family feedback and the success of a similar structure used during Spring Break Camp. The change also supports long-term sustainability for the nonprofit organization. Generous sponsorship from Koch Industries and support from the Enid Regional Development Alliance help keep camp affordable while ensuring exciting, high-quality experiences for all campers.
This year’s Discovery Camp theme invites children to explore cultures from around the world through art, cooking, science, and culture. Campers will create art inspired by global traditions and artists, taste new flavors in engaging cooking sessions, imaginative play in the museum, outdoor activities in Adventure Quest, and more.
Each week is carefully curated to provide a fun and educational experience for children pre-K to 5th grade, with experienced educators leading each session.
Discounts are available including full camp, multi child, active military, and more. Scholarships are also available for both financial need and academics, thanks to a generous grant from the Harris Foundation.
“Discovery Camp is a continuation of the dream our founders, the Garriotts, had: to develop a place which will excite kids about discovery and learning in an adventurous non academic setting,” said Ringwald. “We’re excited to carry that vision forward and proud to offer a camp experience that inspires confidence, curiosity, and lifelong learning.”
